Lake Heron Cottage
For guests wanting the full high country experience, Lake Heron Air has accommodation within walking distance of the airstrip and hanger.
First established in 1900, Lake Heron Cottage has been lovingly restored, retaining much of the original character, to provide high quality accommodation for guests. The cottage is fully equipped with kitchen, laundry, open fire, heaters, separate bathroom and toilet, barbeque, large outdoor area and a bath under the stars. We can accommodate up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. Two bedrooms have queen beds. The third bedroom has 2 bunk beds. Electric blankets and feather duvets ensure a wonderfully cosy night's sleep.
Your party has exclusive use of the cottage for your stay.
Catering is provided upon request.
The New Hut
The New Hut was the newest hut on the station when it was constructed in 1923. Since then the name has stuck. We've restored the hut extensively over the years and it is now a wonderful base for an exclusive high country sojourn.
Situated 10kms from the main homestead, in a beautiful remote location, the New Hut is only accessible on foot, bike or by 4WD. In keeping with the environment, the hut is rustic, simple, and comfortable. It sits lightly on the land, utilising solar power for lighting, gas for appliances, and a log burner for hot water and heating.
This is a destination for outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers!

Sleeps up to 13 in 11 comfortable king single beds and 1 double bed. All bed linen and duvets provided.

Rates: $220 for 2 people, $50 for each additional person. Minimum charge per stay $650.
